So, a few things happened yesterday......
1.) I got my hair cut and dyed! Honestly, I can't believe I went this long without doing so! Beforehand, regrowth = horrendous, and length = meh... just needed a bit of touching up.
2.) Went to a family gathering where there was (and always is) yummy food/treats, and the company is always great. The "Allred Family Pool Parties" have been going on ever since I myself was little, and someday I hope to bring my own children to them. Sometimes life gets so busy for everyone, and it's hard to make time to see family; however, that time should be found. Family, to me anyways, is the most important thing in life. It's worth it to me to step away from my Netflix shows, the book I'm reading, or the computer I'm typing on to go see them. I love getting to see all my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Sometimes it blows my mind (like...literally) how fast my little cousins have grown up. Last night I pointed to one of them and said, "Grandma, is that really my little (not so) baby cousin?!" She proceeded to tell me, "Yep." WOW. I hadn't seen her since she was a baby! I'm beyond grateful that I have such a close-knit family, and that we can have these special get-togethers every now and again.

Do you find yourself making excuses to get out of seeing some of your family members? If so..... STOP IT!! And that is an order ;) "If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse."
